PUBLIC INFORMATION NOTICE

PINE ISLAND, MINNESOTA,

County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 5 west of CSAH 3 will be closing on August 20th.

Road construction for the new alignment of CSAH 5 will be moving into its final phase. During this phase, the west end connection of CSAH 5 will be constructed. Also, the old alignments of both CSAH 5 and 125th ST NW will be removed. Roadway will be open to the newly constructed roundabout at CSAH 3 and CSAH 5 to the east.

The road closure will be in place on August 20th and a detour will be provided utilizing CSAH 3 and CSAH 14, see attached map.

The CSAH 5 project is expected to be complete in the fall of 2018.

Midwest Contracting is the prime contractor on the $6.7 million project.

Motorists are reminded to always drive with caution, slowdown in work zones, and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cone
