Enroll in a free program today and get started on your nursing assistant certification! With additional funding secured for the Next Generation Nursing Assistant initiative, any interested Minnesotan can receive training, books, uniforms and take their certification exam at no cost. Reliable transportation and technology needs can also be covered.

Commissioner Olson completes statewide tour

Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) Commissioner Dennis Olson completed his statewide tour at the conclusion of this month. Throughout October, Olson has been traveling across the state, from Winona to Moorhead, meeting with campus administration and student leaders to learn and discuss the current state of higher education in Minnesota.

Over the past two weeks, Olson's visited with Concordia University - St. Paul, University of Northwestern - St Paul, Bethel University, Macalester College, University of St. Thomas, Hamline University, St. Catherine University, Gustavus Adolphus College, Minnesota State University - Mankato, Minnesota State University - Moorhead, Leech Lake Tribal College, Red Lake Nation College, and White Earth Tribal and Community College. These conversations will help inform agency recommendations for Governor Walz's budget proposal this upcoming legislative session.

Apply now for Minnesota Student Teacher Grants - Deadline approaching for spring semester

Are you an aspiring teacher who is anticipating student teaching this spring? You may be eligible to receive up to $7,500 for your student teaching experience.

Apply now for the Minnesota Student Teacher Grants. The program provides postsecondary financial assistance to future teachers during one term when completing a required 12-week (or more) student teaching experience. Priority deadline for Spring/Summer 2023 is November 4, 2022. Find out if you are eligible and apply online.
