Join the State's MLK Day Celebration
Governor Walz and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan invite Minnesotans of all ages to join the 36th Annual State of Minnesota Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!
As the civil rights leader said in 1957, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?” That’s why this year’s theme is Beloved Community in Action. Throughout the celebration, you’ll hear Minnesotans reflect on what Dr. King means to them and how they’re building a thriving society that embodies love and justice and works to end racism and poverty.
The celebration is a 25-minute recorded video and premiers on Monday, January 17 at 11 am on the Governor's YouTube Channel. After watching the video, we invite you to share ways you are creating a Beloved Community by using #MNMLK on social media.

Looking to Learn More About the FAFSA?
Kicking off the new year, we are launching Ready, Set, FAFSA!, a series of financial aid webinars for students and families as they prepare for the college-going process. We are excited to partner with Educational Credit Management Corporation and the Minnesota Department of Education in this effort.
All sessions will have live interpretation available in Spanish, Somali, and Hmong. Participants who attend 4 out of 5 sessions will be eligible to win a $500 scholarship.
