Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management to host statewide listening tour beginning in Duluth next month
Connecting with Community listening tour will take OCM staff across Minnesota to engage with communities throughout 2026
St. Paul, Minn. – Today the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) announced it will kick off a statewide listening tour next month to talk with Minnesotans about cannabis policy, the launch of adult-use cannabis sales, and growing opportunities for consumers, license holders and communities as cannabis businesses continue to open around the state.
Over the coming months, the Connecting with Community listening tour will take OCM staff across Minnesota to share updates about the office’s work and to engage community members in thoughtful conversation. It will include a mix of open meetings with the public, face-to-face conversations with local government officials and Tribal Nations, and visits with grant recipients, cannabis and hemp businesses, and community groups. In embarking on the listening tour, the office hopes to reflect on progress and gain insight so it may establish priorities and a vision for future cannabis policy in Minnesota.
The listening tour begins on March 12 with stops in Pine County and Cloquet, and a public listening session in Duluth on March 13. Prior to the listening session, OCM Executive Director Eric Taubel will be available to speak with local media. Other media availability options will be accommodated as possible by request.
OCM will announce additional events in the Connecting with Community listening tour soon.
