As you may know, the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) is accepting applications for the CanRenew community restoration grant program, which invests in communities disproportionately affected by cannabis prohibition. The $10.9 million program, established in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 342, invests in community development, safety and stability. The application window closes on Jan. 12, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. CST.
There are opportunities for you to learn more about CanRenew! On Friday, Dec. 12, OCM is holding an informational and technical session about the CanRenew grant and how to apply. Register in advance to attend. If you can’t attend the virtual session on Dec. 12, OCM will post a recording of the webinar on the CanRenew webpage at a later date. OCM is also hosting a CanRenew informational and technical session on Jan. 5, from 3-4 p.m. CST.
OCM updated the CanRenew frequently asked questions (FAQs) last week, based on questions we received in the first CanRenew informational and technical session. Find CanRenew FAQs on the bottom of the CanRenew webpage.
