Make Plans for Your Kids - The Imprint
Advocates in Minnesota are urging those in ICE crosshairs to make plans for what will happen to their kids if they are detained. This article from The Imprint delves into the issues facing immigrant families whose parents are detained without options in place for who will take care of their children.

The Council for Minnesotans of African Heritage (CMAH) African Heritage Day on the Hill has been postponed due to safety concerns. CMAH will send out a new date once the details are finalized.

K-Number Viewing
Join the University of Minnesota Asian American Studies Program for a viewing of K-Number, a film following a Korean adoptee's journey to learn about her birth family and adoption process.

How to Begin a Community Advisory Board Workshop
The Community Engaged to Advance Research in Community Health (CEARCH) at the University of Minnesota will present an in-person workshop on beginning a Community Advisory Board on Friday, February 13.
Workshop participants will learn the aspects of establishing a community advisory board or team, explore examples of other community advisory boards and teams, and apply the workshop content to any current research.

The University of Minnesota's Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing has created a new site titled You Do Matter Minnesota: Living Through Crisis.

ABUSUA Healing Circles Webinar
The Minnesota Department of Health is presenting a webinar on Afrocentric Bonding Using Somatic Understanding of Attachment (ABUSUA). This webinar explores a traditional approach to collective wellbeing among Black families.
Black Family Blueprint implemented ABUSUA in 2023 and is now partnering with the Association for Black Psychologists to showcase this model of healing. Co-founders Ayolanda Bandele and Mujasi Bandele will present on their work with the ABUSUA Healing Circles.
