Become a Board Member!

MSRS is seeking candidates to run for the Board of Directors. The election will be held February 2024. These four-year terms begin Monday, May 6, 2024.

Open Positions

Three positions for active employees are up for election in 2024. To qualify, you must be a current, active member of the retirement plan.

  • Two active members from the General Employees or Unclassified Retirement Plans
  • One active member of the Correctional Retirement Plan

In addition, a position representing MSRS pension plan retirees will also be up for election.

Process & Deadline

If you are interested in running for the Board, complete the required forms. Candidate forms must be submitted to MSRS by Friday, September 29, 2023.

  1. Nominating Petition. Obtain the signatures of 10 employees currently working and covered by your pension plan.
  2. Biographical Sketch. Complete and submit this form online or by paper.
