Fellow ERG members,
We've finished up the re-branding of the Women ChangeMakers with a new logo/header. Very excited about the re-brand. We've added ~150 new members since the re-naming of the ERG. I believe the re-branding away from "IT" has made the ERG feel more inclusive of ALL state employees, not just those in tech roles. Our membership to date is ~532. Nice work, and keep getting the word out.
It's been a busy summer for everyone. The Women ChangeMakers are no different. We are finishing up the nomination for a Co-Chair to this ERG. I had promised to have this election held at the end of September, and I apologize for the delay.
We had quite a number of nominations, thank you for taking the time to think about the ERG Leadership. We contacted the nominees to ask if they are interested in taking on the role. A few of the nominees declined, as they are heavily involved in other activities. They wanted to make sure that they thanked the ERG members for submitting their nominations. If you don't see the person you nominated on the final ballot, it is likely that they are not currently able to take on the role as Co-Chair at this time.
I invite you to read the bio's below and submit your nomination.
Sincerely,
Colette Johnson— Women ChangeMakers Chair, Enterprise Solutions Architect, MNIT Services @DHS
Time to vote!
Any good leader knows when to both listen, and when to raise their hand to take an active role in the development of others. We have members hiding in all the corners of State Government, ready to step forward. Thank you to the following members who raised their hands to take on the Co-Chair of our ERG.
Melissa Warhol and Tanya Belanger!
We asked the nominees a couple of questions to introduce you to them. Use the Bios and Ballot link to take some time to read their answers, reach out to them for more information if you'd like, and then VOTE!!
