Noom now available for free through well-being program |
|
Noom is one of the new free tools offered to employees through your well-being program.
Download the app or log in to the website to learn how food chemistry, brain function, psychology and a progress-not-perfection approach helps you eat healthier and gradually lose weight.
After you answer a few questions, Noom creates a plan based on what you’d like to accomplish and the number of minutes you decide to spend learning each day either reading or listening to audio lessons.
The sessions are filled with tips and tricks, easy-to-understand science lessons and as much (or little) interaction as you’d like. Noom does recommend daily weigh-ins, but it’s not required to use the program.
Use either the app or website to get:
-
Short articles and lessons
-
Nudges, quizzes and reminders
-
Recipes
-
Peer group support
-
Personal coaching
You can also connect Noom to your current devices and tracking tools such as Fitbit, Polar, OneTouch, Health and others.

Earn well-being program points
Use Noom now to earn up to 300 well-being program points. Complete three Noom activities in a month—log meals, log weight, and read articles—to automatically earn points.
Employees who track 300 points in Virgin Pulse by Oct. 31, 2023 get rewarded with $70 off their 2024 medical plan deductible. While Noom is available to all employees eligible for medical insurance, only those enrolled in the Minnesota Advantage Health Plan will earn points toward the $70 well-being reward.
