Tell a Friend! State of Minnesota Career Fair is Oct. 29

On October 29, the State of Minnesota is hosting the first ever state government career fair. This is an enterprise wide event that will feature all 24 cabinet agencies. This career fair builds on our efforts to showcase Minnesota state government as one employer, as well as our commitment to an inclusive workplace that reflects the rich diversity of those we serve. Representatives from your agencies will connect potential applicants with job openings, and provide them an important networking opportunity as they prepare to submit their applications. Ultimately, we hope attendees leave the event inspired and excited about a career in public service.

But we need your help! As a current employee, you are the best ambassador for promoting the state as a great place to start or grow a career. Below are some ways you can spread the word about our career fair:

People of Color Career Fair

This week the State of Minnesota participated in the People of Color Career Fair at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Our booth was an overwhelming success, with recruiters from all agencies on hand to connect with potential job applicants. Governor Mark Dayton stopped by to speak with attendees and talk about the importance of choosing a life in public service. More than 1,000 people visited our booth, with many leaving their resumes or connecting directly with hiring managers and agency leaders.

We intend to build on this success at the State Of Minnesota Career Fair on October 29. Thank you for helping us keep the momentum!
