Cider and snacks will be available. This event is geared for children ages 13 and under; adult supervision is required.
Location: Mendota Heights Par 3 Community Golf Course
 Seasonal safety reminder
With the change in seasons and shorter daylight hours, wearing bright and reflective clothing can help you be easily visible to drivers when outdoors. Many locations in Mendota Heights do not have separate sidewalks or trails, making this especially important when exercising on streets, as well as working in or near your driveway, and when assisting with storm drain cleaning and fire hydrant clearing. As snow season arrives, wearing bright and reflective clothing will also help plow operators see you more readily, keeping everyone safe.

On to our next goal!
Currently there are 749 households in Mendota Heights participating in the Dakota County residential organics drop-off program -- close to 16% of Mendota Heights households. With our first goal of 750 households nearly met, we're raising the bar on the Mayor's Challenge to a goal of 1,000 households signing up for the program by the end of this year!
With the new drop-off location at Mendakota Park, it's easier than ever to get started. Simply collect food scraps (veggies, fruits, bakery, coffee grounds, eggshells, dairy, meat, and bones) and non-recyclable paper products, put them into free compostable bags, and when convenient drop them off in the labeled dumpster at Mendakota Park. Don’t forget to take fresh compostable bags as you depart, and repeat the process. One wonderful side effect – your own garbage won’t smell and will be greatly reduced while reducing your carbon footprint and creating compost for our community.
