Group text messages in mobile management
The group text message feature in Mobile Management allows authorized local agency staff to send text messages to multiple recipients at one time by uploading a CSV file. This will be available beginning Oct. 1.

Brush Art promotion and support items – order by Dec. 31
In February, WIC coordinators received an email with specific Brush Art order information for sippy cups, small water bottles, large water bottles, and tattoos. The email contained the allotment for each of the items based on caseload. Some agencies have ordered their full allotted amount, and some have not.
If you have not, please place your orders by Thursday, Dec. 31.
Early next year we will make plans for any surplus items and let you know if more can be ordered.
We will also conduct a short survey asking for feedback on these items.

Formula summary updated
Exhibit 7-B: Minnesota WIC Formula Summary (PDF) has been updated to match the draft version that was shared in June. It lists the formulas that Minnesota WIC will offer as of Oct. 1.
New breast pump flange insert education guide
We’re excited to share a new Breast Pump Flange Insert Education Guide (PDF) for WIC staff! This resource provides practical, easy-to-understand information to help staff support participants who may benefit from flange inserts, including guidance on fit, comfort, and when to consider trying an insert. The guide is designed to be a helpful tool during breastfeeding and pumping conversations and can be used alongside individualized support and referrals when needed. Please take a few minutes to review the new guide and keep it handy as a resource for future participant education.
Scholarship and mentorship program – apply now!
Interested in becoming an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)?
IBCLC Mentorship and Scholarship Program applications are now being accepted from local agency WIC staff. This program assists in preparing, studying, and applying for the March 2027 IBCLC exam. Participants can expect to spend two hours a month during the workday for the mentorship meetings, and an average of two-three hours a week on your own reading and studying. Study time may vary depending on the individual. Mentorship meetings will take place on two Tuesdays a month at 2:30 p.m.

Welcoming a new peer breastfeeding counselor? The next live orientation for peer counselors is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Please contact Kristen Bricko with the name and email address of your new peer to be added to the list! A TEAMS meeting invite will be sent to the peer directly, a few days prior to the orientation date.
