To help determine UUAV allocations for the 2027 fiscal year (Oct. 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2027), sites will need to complete a needs assessment survey by Aug. 26. Complete the survey with an estimated number of doses your site, and all associated PINs, would need to fully meet patient demand for the 2027 fiscal year. All PINs associated with your site will be listed at the top of the survey. We will use this information along with MIIC data (including DLE, doses administered, doses shipped) to determine allocations.
Your site’s vaccine coordinator and backup vaccine coordinator received one email with a link to your site-specific form. If your site contacts did not receive the email, reach out to us at health.uuadultvax@state.mn.us.
The administration season for maternal Abrysvo vaccination begins Sept. 1. It should be given to pregnant people at 32 to 36 weeks’ gestation from September through January to protect newborns from respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Babies born at least two weeks after the birthing parent’s vaccination with Abrysvo should not receive RSV mAb except in rare circumstances. If a pregnant person received RSV vaccine during a previous pregnancy, do not use Abrysvo during this one, and counsel them that a dose of RSV mAb should be given to the infant shortly after birth. Sites that have multiple RSV products should educate staff on the different uses and indications to avoid vaccination errors. Arexvy (GSK) and mResvia (Moderna) are not approved for use in pregnant people. If needed, Abrysvo is available to order for UUAV-eligible pregnant adults 19 years of age and older through MIIC.
If there are any issues with your UUAV vaccine shipments sent from McKesson, like missing vaccines or an indication that the vaccine did not stay in the appropriate temperature range, these must be reported to McKesson the same day the shipment is delivered. If you fail to report issues the same day, the vaccines will not be replaced. Contact information for McKesson is listed on each shipment. They have representatives available until 6 p.m. and you can leave a message if you call after hours. If you have issues with UUAV frozen vaccine shipments sent directly from Merck, you can report those using their Vaccine Reporting Form.
