Turn healthcare data into meaningful insights with our free, self-paced e-learning course designed for Health Care Homes certified clinics.

Analyzing Healthcare Data with Excel: A Practice Guide for Quality Improvement teaches practical Excel skills you can apply to real-world healthcare quality data, including Minnesota Community Measurement (MNCM) reports and other data sources.

In this course, you'll learn how to:

  • Prepare and organize healthcare data

  • Use pivot tables to analyze quality measures

  • Calculate clinic performance rates

  • Stratify data by demographic groups

  • Create charts to communicate results and support quality improvement

Developed in partnership with Minnesota Community Measurement (MNCM), this course is organized into short, focused modules that make it easy to build practical data analysis skills at your own pace.

This course is free to Health Care Homes certified clinics. If your clinic does not currently have access to the Health Care Homes e-learning library, contact your Practice Improvement Specialist for assistance. If you are unsure who your specialist is, email health.healthcarehomes@state.mn.us.
