Trouble-shooting signature pad issues
We have updated the Signature Pad – Trouble-shooting Common Issues (PDF) document with information used by the MN Help Desk to help resolve issues that can occur with signature pads. It addresses common issues that require replacement of the SigPlus.ini file, steps for resolving the USB HID error (cannot connect to signature pad), and issues that require recalibration and how to recalibrate the signature pad.
This document can be found on the Technical How To page of the MDH WIC website (navigation: Local Agencies >> Information System section >> Technical How To).
MOM policy 7.4 Supporting Breastfeeding with the WIC food package - updated
Please review the new version of 7.4 Supporting Breastfeeding with the WIC food package (PDF)
Key changes include:
- Streamlined structure for clarity.
- Clarification that fully breastfeeding definition for the WIC infant food package is not the same as exclusive breastfeeding.
- Updated language differentiating fully breastfeeding and exclusively breastfeeding.
- Updated formula amount allowed for mostly breastfeeding food package.
Notes for CPAs:
- A participant must be breastfeeding to qualify for any breastfeeding food package. Families that aren’t breastfeeding and aren’t receiving WIC formula will be assigned the “no WIC formula/foods issued” food item.
- Continue to support breastfeeding for those not receiving WIC formula and encourage as much breastfeeding as possible.
- Monitor families closely who opt not to receive WIC formula. This is a financial burden, and families may need to change food packages more frequently than usual.
