State Trauma Advisory Council (STAC) Position Open for Appointment
MDH Commission Brooke Cunningham is looking for a Orthopedic surgeon to fill a seat on the State Trauma Advisory Council (STAC). The seat will be vacated by Dr. Robert Jacobs, who has held the seat since 2022. The appointee will complete Dr. Jacobs term, which ends January 4, 2027, and then is eligible for re-appointment.
The STAC typically meets as a full council four times each year to advise the Minnesota Commissioner of Health on a variety of matters related to improving trauma care across the state. To qualify for the seat, an applicant must be a Orthopedic surgeon from one of Minnesota's designated trauma hospitals. Interested candidates must file an application with the Minnesota Secretary of State. The application period will be open until at least Date day, 2026 but may remain open longer until the position is filled.
