Federal Fiscal Year 2025 final WIC grant payments

On February 3, we provided final grant payment information for FFY 2025 to WIC grant administrators through a letter sent by e-mail. We also wanted to share this information with WIC Coordinators and provide a reminder that WIC Grant payment information can be found on the state WIC website: WIC Finance

Summary of FFY 2025 closeout information:

• 44 local agencies will receive an end of year WIC grant reimbursement payment.
  • Four local agencies had all unreimbursed WIC expenses covered in full.
  • 40 local agencies were not fully reimbursed.
• 17 local agencies are not receiving an end of year grant reimbursement since they did not claim expenses above their WIC grant level.

Options for shopping for WIC foods - translated PDF's online

You can have a person you trust help you shop for your WIC foods.  Please refer to Others Can Help You Shop with Your WIC Card (PDF) for guidance you can share with participants.

Translations in Spanish and Somali are posted to the website.

Training opportunities

Local agency staff should talk to their supervisor for approval before registering for training.

Refer to WIC Annual Required Trainings for staff training requirements.

Save the dates

We are waiting for more information from our speakers to finalize registration, but we wanted to encourage staff to save the date for two upcoming trainings.

1. Neurodivergence and Disordered Eating
   • Part 2: Friday, April 24, from 9-10 a.m. with Dr. Maria Kroupina
   • Register for Part 1: Friday, March 27, 2026, from 9- 10 a.m.: Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD): Clinical Characteristics, Red Flags, and Referral Pathways with Paula Rabaey, Ph.D., MPH, OTR/L, FAOTA.
2. Staff Burnout with Sonia Ellis-Taylor from Learning Dynamics
   • Thursday, May 7- This presentation will be repeated to allow staff two options to attend:
     • Option 1: 8:30 - 10 a.m.
     • Option 2: 10:30 a.m. - noon
