*Please note, some screening events require you to make an appointment ahead of time. These are noted on the calendar.
Did you know breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Minnesota?
According to data collected by the Minnesota Cancer Reporting System (MCRS):
- Women diagnosed at an early stage (when cancer is still in the breast) have a 99% chance of surviving at least 5 years.
- Women diagnosed at a late stage (when cancer has spread outside the breast) have a 81% 5-year survival rate.
This is why breast cancer screening is key. Mammograms can find breast cancer early before symptoms appear, when treatment works best.

Funding Updates
Good news!
We’re pleased to announce that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has renewed funding for our MDH Cancer Screening Quality Improvement (CSQI) and SagePlus Programs.
This continued support ensures that all programs within the MDH Cancer Programs Section are funded through the remainder of the current fiscal years. With this funding, we’re excited to keep advancing our efforts to increase cancer and heart health screening, education, and awareness across Minnesota.
