Early Ordering Deadline and COVID-19 Vaccine Availability
An ordering deadline for UUAV vaccines will be implemented as we near the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30. Thursday, Sept. 25 will be the last date to submit orders using your FY25 allocations. Ordering will be available to you again Oct. 1, when you will begin using your new FY26 allocation.
We encourage you to spend down your allocation. Any remaining allocations from FY25 will not rollover into FY26. If your site currently has any allocation remaining, you will receive an email from us with details regarding exactly how much you have left to order.
COVID-19 vaccine will be available for ordering through the UUAV program when and if the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) votes to approve it, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director adopts the recommendation. We expect to know more after the ACIP meeting that is scheduled for Sept. 18-19, and will send another announcement with information about how and when you can order vaccine.
If COVID-19 vaccine is available for ordering before Oct. 1, but you have already spent your current allocation, you will need to wait to order until Oct. 1 when you will have access to your new allocation. Unlike past years, we do not anticipate there will be any additional funds available to support UUAV COVID-19 vaccine ordering.
In the meantime, if you need to direct any of your patients elsewhere, private doses of the new COVID-19 products are available at many retail pharmacy locations.
