Fiber
Fiber supports healthy digestion, prevents constipation, and helps children feel full and satisfied after meals. WIC staff play an important role in providing practical and culturally appropriate guidance that helps families build healthy, fiber-rich eating habits. This month’s topic The Role of Fiber in Children's Diets (PDF) explores fiber and how we can guide families in increasing fiber intake using familiar WIC foods.
Local agency staff should talk to their supervisor for approval before registering for training.
Refer to WIC Annual Required Trainings for staff training requirements.

2025 Monthly champions calls
Our next participant-centered services (PCS) champions call is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 9. Beginning in September we have updated the format of the PCS Champions Call to be more content rich. Based on attendee feedback, we will now begin the Champions' call with some presentation of information by the facilitator, Bernadette Flores, and then move on to discussion, participation and sharing. We think you are going to like it even better than before so please join us! No registration required.
