The Minnesota Milk Bank for Babies has launched a survey to learn more about health care workers’ perspectives on breastfeeding/chestfeeding, pasteurized donor human milk and the donor milk fatwa (a formal ruling or interpretation of Islamic law supporting the use of pasteurized donor human milk for Muslim babies).
The survey takes approximately 5–7 minutes to complete and is open to all individuals that work with newborns and their families, including physicians, nurses, lactation consultants, doulas and other team members.
If you would like to learn more about the survey or have local partners that might be interested in participating, you can email Marcia McCoy for details, the survey link, and a flyer.
Local agency staff should talk to their supervisor for approval before registering for training.
Refer to WIC Annual Required Trainings for staff training requirements.
