Events and announcements 

New resources! 

  • Special events toolkit (Alcohol Policy Resource Center) - This toolkit outlines considerations to help event organizers plan safe, family-friendly events and avoid issues like overserved patrons and underage alcohol consumption 
  • Identifying and interpreting alcohol, cannabis and opioid research (Prevention First) - A new online course designed to help those working in substance use prevention identify reputable, relevant research articles related to alcohol, cannabis, and opioids and apply a process to review, interpret, and correctly reference research to support prevention goals 
  • Overdose measures matter (CDC Foundation) - New website that features key indicators for planning and evaluating programs, tips for using data effectively, and resources for communicating impact and securing funding
