Thank you to those who attended our program update call last week. This announcement is to share some of the high-level details from that call for those who could not attend.
Uninsured and underinsured adult vaccine (UUAV) program update
In 2023 and 2024, we received an additional one-time funding approximately $1.4 million each year from the state. This one-time state funding for UUAV is ending. We will be supporting UUAV vaccine ordering using only federal funding. This means we will likely be facing a 56% reduction in our budget. We expect sites to feel the impact of this next fiscal year (starting Oct. 1). We do not expect it to affect your allocations for the current fiscal year which ends in September 2025.
Moving forward with this smaller budget, providers should expect lower allocations in the coming year. This means fewer vaccines will be available for each site. Looking into the future, there is a lot we don’t know. If further funding changes are made, we will need to make additional changes to the program. We will communicate ahead of any changes as soon as possible.

Upcoming application
A new application for UUAV enrollment is coming soon. The new enrollment period will be effective Oct. 1, 2025 - Sept. 30, 2027, and the current enrollment period ends Sept. 30, 2025. Current UUAV providers who wish to maintain enrollment must complete the application. We will send UUAV announcement with more information in the near future.
