2025 Title V needs assessment community input survey
MDH is seeking input on a maternal and child health action plan, as a part of the 2025 needs assessment. Please respond to the short Title V survey and help make sure your needs – and those of your family and community – are heard. Participation in this survey is voluntary and intended to provide Minnesotans with an opportunity to share their thoughts about maternal and child health in Minnesota. Individuals who complete the survey by May 18 will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card. The survey will take 5-10 minutes to complete.
Please share the survey across the families you serve - we want to get the survey to as many Minnesotans as we can! You are invited to complete the survey as well.
Minnesota WIC designated breastfeeding expert practice group - no meeting in May due to Memorial Day
Going forward, the date and time for the designated breastfeeding expert practice group will be located on the local agency WIC calendar. Please access the TEAMS link from the calendar. An email will be sent monthly to the designated breastfeeding experts with a review of what will be discussed at the upcoming meeting. If you are not receiving these emails, please reach out to rosie.pierce-martin@state.mn.us.
As a reminder, meetings will be held monthly on the fourth Monday, from 9 -10 a.m. This is a drop-in style group, no need to rsvp or attend all meetings.
The next meeting will be on Monday, June 23, 9 -10 a.m.
Peer breastfeeding webpage and resources
Updated peer active client list
- The Infoview report, peer active client list, has been updated to include the most recent contact date and type. It lets you quickly see if a peer has recent data entered for their clients. To limit the list to only clients for your peer program, use input controls to select all staff who enter peer data, including coordinators and peers. You can then filter the list for selected peers, if desired.
New peer breastfeeding webpage
- A peer breastfeeding program webpage has been created, that will include peer statistics and an interactive map, along with new resources for peer counselors.

Autistic children are often very sensitive to how food feels, smells, and looks, which can greatly impact their willingness to try new foods. Supporting Sensory-friendly Nutrition for Autistic Children - Topic of the Month (PDF) explores how to support their nutritional needs in a sensory-friendly and respectful manner.
