Minnesota Health Care Workforce Dashboard Launch
The Minnesota Office of Rural Health and Primary Care (ORHPC) has launched a new and improved Minnesota Health Care Workforce Dashboard.
The Health Care Workforce Dashboard features data on licensed providers in a wide range of healthcare field, including physicians, nurses, mental health professionals, dentists, respiratory therapists and many others.
These data will provide industry partners and stakeholders, including government agencies, researchers, students, educators, medical professionals, professional organizations, media, legislators, and more with the latest information on Minnesota’s healthcare workforce landscape.
The dashboard provides answers to frequently asked workforce questions, such as:
- Who are Minnesota’s health care providers?
- How may Minnesotans work in a specific field? What are their demographics (age, sex, race)? What languages are spoken in various practices?
- Where are Minnesota’s health care providers working?
- What do workforce numbers look like in various geographic location? In what work settings do various professionals practice?
- What are health care providers’ work and career plans?
- How do providers work? Do they use telemedicine? How long have they practiced? How much longer do they intend to work? Are they looking to leave their area of practice?
ORHPC will update the dashboard to address user needs and interests. Once you have had a chance to review the dashboard, please complete a brief survey to provide feedback on the dashboard or request additional data for ORHPC to consider including.
For more information about survey and analysis methods, please see the Health Workforce Analysis Survey Methodology page. For data requests or additional information, please contact health.workforce@state.mn.us.
