MnVFC providers will be able to prebook influenza vaccine for the 2025-2026 influenza season starting Wednesday, Jan. 16. Prebook requests are due Jan. 31. Requests submitted after Jan. 31 will be considered late. Late requests can’t be guaranteed and may arrive later in the season. Ordering for the current season (2024-2025) will be temporarily unavailable while the 2025-2026 prebook is open and will resume on Feb. 1.

How to prebook influenza vaccine

MnVFC-enrolled providers will use the Minnesota Immunization Information Connection (MIIC) to prebook.

  • Login to MIIC at Minnesota Immunization Information Connection [login] between 16 and Jan. 31.
  • Go to the vaccine management header on the left-hand side.
  • Select request special event vaccine.
  • From the event dropdown select 2025-2026 MnVFC pediatric influenza vaccine prebook. Please verify that you are in the 2025-2026 prebook event before submitting your request.

Actions your site can take to prepare

  • Determine who within your organization will prebook influenza vaccine in MIIC.
  • Check with your vaccine ordering staff to see if they have a MIIC user role with ordering privileges.
    • Login to MIIC and view your user role at the top of the home page. If your role ends with the words “with ordering” then you will have access to request influenza vaccine in MIIC.
  • If you do not have a user role with ordering, consult with your MIIC administrator to update your role.
    • Typically, there is a MIIC user at each site who is designated as a MIIC administrator. If you have an administrator role you can create user roles for your staff. Visit Managing Users (PDF) for more information.
  • If you do not have a MIIC administrator, contact mnvfc@state.mn.us for assistance.
