Webinar: Guiding Principles and Innovative Ideas for Engaging Patients and Families

Person-centered care can be improved by listening to and learning from patients and families, but it can be difficult to know how to involve them in the work. This webinar will discuss multiple ways to engage patients, co-design systems and maintain engagement. Inviting patients to partner in their care and beyond doesn’t need to be just another thing you do; it can be fun! Join us to discuss how to authentically invite, include and invest in patients as partners to make health care better.

Webinar: The Case for Weight Inclusive Healthcare*

Date: Oct. 30

Time: Noon - 1 p.m.

In this webinar, you'll learn about weight inclusive healthcare, including its principles, evidence, and benefits. We'll discuss how weight stigma in healthcare can harm both physical and mental health, causing people to avoid care, experience medical mistakes, develop eating disorders, and face other health issues. Health care providers and policy makers will discover why addressing weight stigma is important for providing trauma-informed and patient-centered care for everyone. You'll receive resources for further learning, tips on creating weight inclusive healthcare environments, and a better understanding of how to support patients in larger bodies.
