Topic of the Month - Yogurt
In 2014, yogurt was introduced as an option in the child and adult WIC food packages as a substitute for fluid milk. Yogurt provides a choice for participants who choose not to or are unable to drink adequate milk due to lactose intolerance or for other reasons. To read more on yogurt’s benefits and commonly asked questions refer to Yogurt – Topic of the Month (PDF).
We're celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. Since the opening of the first clinic in 1974, WIC has been committed to improving maternal and child outcomes.
The July WIC 50th Anniversary Partner Toolkit is ready and includes a video WIC & Farmers Markets, and social media graphics, and sample social media post language.
Check out the Celebrating 50 years of WIC webpage for additional resources.
