About Project Firstline

Project Firstline (PFL) is a partnership between the CDC and MDH that provides innovative and accessible infection control education for all frontline health care workers, staff, and members of the public health workforce. Regardless of your role, previous training or educational background, the goal is to understand and confidently apply infection control principles and protocols to protect your patients, coworkers, and yourself from infectious disease threats in health care.

PFL offers educational resources in a variety of formats to meet the diverse learning needs and preferences of the health care workforce. Resources are designed to empower and enable health care workers to think critically about infection control, using adult learning principles, educational best practices, CDC recommendations, and the science that informs them.
