Learning objectives
- Increase understanding of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs).
- Define the relationship between MDROs and Enhanced Barrier Precautions (EBP).
- Identify infection prevention and control measures to prevent the spread of MDROs.
- Recognize current practices for communicating patient/resident MDRO status, both inside and outside of the facility.
- Identify key strategies for improving care through clear communication.
