Registration and compliance is state law

Cannabis

Businesses that sell hemp-derived cannabinoid products must register with MDH

Minnesota requires any business that sells hemp-derived cannabinoid products (edibles, beverages or topicals) directly to consumers to register with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). Failure to register could result in fines of up to $10,000.

Register now

The registration process is simple and done online at no cost. To register, please visit the hemp-derived cannabinoid products webpage. If you have already registered, thank you.

Comply with state law

In addition to registering, businesses must ensure they are complying with state law for hemp-derived cannabinoid products. Selling non-compliant products is a crime. Please review the Hemp-Derived Cannabinoid Product Compliance fact sheet for more information.

Thank you for helping us make hemp-derived cannabinoid products a safe marketplace for consumers.
