Important resource for families
Everyday Miracles has a mission is to improve birth outcomes and reduce health disparities by providing evidence-based education, compassionate and culturally aware support, and a non-judgmental, caring community. Everyday Miracles can help participants from any location in the state to obtain a breast pump. For families in the metro area as well as St. Louis County, they provide doula services, childbirth and lactation education, and car seats. Services are available to those on state-sponsored health plans for no out-of-pocket cost, however anyone is welcome to take advantage! Check out their website today to learn more.
Greater Minnesota only -- invitation to apply for diaper bank partnership!
Agencies in Greater Minnesota are invited to apply for a Diaper Bank of Minnesota partnership. The Diaper Bank of Minnesota is seeking 10-13 partners across Greater Minnesota. Agencies selected for partnership will receive as many as 75,000 diapers and 57,600 wipes per year to support families experiencing diaper need. Partners will be eligible for quarterly shipments of diapers and wipes to their program sites at no cost.
Partners will be selected based on the following criteria:
- Ability to receive and distribute up to 100,000 diapers annually, either as a standalone agency or by serving as a regional hub to a local network of agencies.
- Access to the infrastructure (e.g., loading dock, pallet jack, warehouse/storage space, etc.) required to accept quarterly shipments of approximately 25,000 diapers.
- Capacity to reach families in under-served areas and in accessible settings, with special priority given to agencies serving rural communities and/or offering culturally specific services.
Applications can be found at Diaper Bank of Minnesota 2024 Partnership Application - Greater Minnesota, and must be submitted by Sunday, Dec. 31. Partnership decisions will be shared by Jan. 31, 2024, online orientation sessions will be held in February, and diaper shipments will begin in early April.
Local agency staff should talk to their supervisor for approval before registering for training.
