Learning objectives

  • Describe why hand hygiene is a critical component of infection prevention and control.
  • Describe why hands are a primary way for germs to spread from people and to the environment.
  • Reinforce the when and how to perform hand hygiene.
  • Understand that effective hand washing is important to minimize the risk of spreading infection.

Project Firstline is a partnership between CDC and MDH that aims to provide engaging and effective infection prevention and control training to frontline workers, staff, and members of the public health workforce.
