Last call to register for the 2023 MN Rural Health Conference, June 12-13!

This year's Minnesota Rural Health Conference is back in-person. Join us June 12-13 at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). You may register online through Wednesday, June 7. Otherwise, you may register as a walk-in on the day of the conference.

If you have any questions about registration, please contact conference staff by email ruralhealthconference@ruralcenter.org, or by phone at 218-464-6121.

Program to help immigrant physicians resume careers sees early success

In 2015, the Minnesota Legislature established the International Medical Graduate (IMG) Assistance Program and placed it under the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care's administration. One of the program components is the IMG Career Guidance and Support Program which serves as an entry point for IMGs in Minnesota. The current IMG Career Guidance and Support grantee is the International Institute of Minnesota.

MDH study of telehealth expansion 

A new study by the Health Economics Program (HEP) of the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) highlights the changes in how telehealth is being used in Minnesota. It also has the potential to help many Minnesotans get the care they need, when they need it, and have it covered by their insurance. ECHO Colorado Newcomer Health Series

In partnership with ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) Colorado, the Minnesota Center of Excellence in Newcomer Health has been hosting a monthly training on newcomer health. The trainings will continue until November 28 and are held the last Tuesday of the month 9 a.m. ET | 8 a.m. CT | 7 a.m. MT | 6 a.m. PT.

The 2023 Minnesota Rural Health Conference will be held Monday and Tuesday, June 12-13, in Duluth. 

The 2023 Many Faces of Community Health Conference will be Thursday and Friday, August 10-11, in Bloomington.
