My MN WIC App Notifications Timeline
We have several topics to communicate to participants through the My MN WIC App over the coming months. Here is the timeline of messages. These may adjust as needed.

April 25: Formula substitutions ending message 1 of 3

May 16: Dairy food benefit changes

May 23: Formula larger can substitutions ending message 2 of 3
- Social posts on Facebook and Instagram pages May 23 and end of May.

June 6: NWA survey message 2 of 3

June 13: Canned fruits and veggies on benefits
- Social posts with supporting nutrition and informational messages on Facebook and Instagram in June.

MOM Policy Updates
Updated Section 1.18: Separation of Duties to Assure Program Integrity
- Provided an explanation of which Infoview reports can be used to help assure program integrity for Local Agency Coordinators or a designee with Infoview access.
Updated Exhibit Exhibit 4-H: Checklist for Certification Observations
- The Nutrition Education Section now includes the required component of a High-Risk Care Plan for high-risk participants.
- Formatting changes include: made it a fillable form and reduced number of columns from 6 to 1 Certification Observations per form. CPA Performance Evaluation requirements for most staff is one Certification Observation annually.
Changes for Exhibit 4-J: Chart Review Form
- Changed name from Chart Audit Form to Local Agency Chart Review Form to better describe the purpose of the form.
- Added a new section, Program Requirements, to evaluate Initial Contact, Separation of Duties, and Income Eligibility.
- The Nutrition Section now includes the required component of a High-Risk Care Plan for high-risk participants.
- Formatting changes include made it a fillable form and reduced number of columns from 6 to 3 reviews per form. Evaluation requirements for most staff are 3 chart reviews annually.
Virtual Clinic Option
We will offer a virtual clinic, as of 4/28 it will be called TeleWIC Appointment. One of the advantages to this virtual clinic is that within the My MN WIC Mobile App messages section, where a participant can see a list of their appointments, it will display TeleWIC Appointment instead of the clinic address.
If you would like to add the TeleWIC Appointment Clinic please complete the Change Grantees, Agencies or Clinics in IS and/or on MDH Website. Under the Reason/Justification section note that you want access added for your staff.

This continuing education program focuses on the improvement of maternal and infant health through the delivery of risk-appropriate, high-quality, nutrition services. It is designed for dietitians, nutritionists, certified nurse midwives, registered nurses and nurse practitioners, physicians and public health professionals who serve preconceptual, pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women.
