St. Paul-Ramsey County WIC has several items that are available for other agencies:
- 2 rocking chairs w/foot rest (was used for a lactation space)
- Client chairs (~15 brown and ~20 blue)
- 1 Desk chair
- 2 Infant changing tables
Interested agencies can reach out to me, Valeesha Halmon valeesha.halmon@co.ramsey.mn.us by Friday, April 14 for any of the items. Agencies will need to plan to pick-up of the items.

Income Guidelines: Change Effective Monday, April 17, 2023
USDA has released the WIC Standard Income Guidelines based on 185% of federal poverty guidelines (FPG). These new Guidelines will be available in HuBERT on Monday, April 17, 2023. All users must Reset Local Reference Data to ensure the income guidelines update in HuBERT.
The following information will also be updated on Monday, April 17, 2023, to reflect the updated WIC Standard Income Guidelines (at 185% of FPG) and the current Minnesota Health Care Program Guidelines (based on 275% of FPG):
MN Health Care Program Guidelines
Income eligibility based on participation in Minnesota Health Care Programs (at 275% of FPG) will be updated this summer, with an effective date of July 1, 2023. When we receive the new Minnesota Health Care Program Guidelines this summer, the above information will be updated again and the change announced in the WIC Wednesday Update.

MOM Policy Update
MOM Section 5.3.4: Nutrition Risk Code and Priority Assignment has been updated.
Instruction was added to assign presumed dietary risk code 428 or 401 if no other dietary risk criteria have been identified. With this change, the broader MOM Section 5.3: Nutrition Assessment has also been updated.
Funding available to expand IBCLCs in WIC
NWA announced a funding opportunity to strengthen and diversify the WIC IBCLC workforce.
The grant funds are scholarships for WIC staff to complete the requirements needed to apply for and sit the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) exam in 2023 or 2024.
Local agencies must apply on behalf of interested staff. Please let Rosie Pierce-Martin know if you intend to apply at Rosie.Pierce-Martin@state.mn.us.
Requests for proposals are due Friday, April 18 at 4 p.m. Instructions and additional information is on the Additional Funding for Local WIC Agencies page.
