IMPORTANT

Mead Johnson Contract Transition Update

After further conversations with Mead Johnson and other states making the formula contract transition from Abbott to Mead Johnson, it is apparent that formula supply continues to be a concern.  To make it easier for families to purchase formula, Minnesota WIC will offer store brand and Similac substitutes for Enfamil products through December 31, 2022. More information is in the Mead Johnson Contract Transition Update.

Supplemental Clinic Travel Funding for FFY 2023

Supplemental Clinic Travel Funding (SCTF) will be offered in FFY 2023. SCTF is available to all agencies if annual satellite clinic travel is estimated to be greater than $2,000 (which includes both staff time and mileage to the clinic site). Registration Open:  Pre-recorded: How to Eat the 8: Introduction to the Big 8 Allergenic Foods for Babies (+Sesame)

Description: There are 8 foods that account for approximately 90% of food allergy in North America…and sesame is the new 9th! New research and updated guidelines indicate that earlier introduction of some of these foods may help prevent food allergy development down the road.  Katie Ferraro, MPH, RDN, CDCES will present a variety of practical, safe and evidence-based approaches to introducing these potentially allergenic foods to babies aged 6 months and older. 

Registration: Registration will be completed in the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Learning Center.
