Finalists Announced for Escape the Vape
Video Contest

Finalists have been announced for Escape the Vape 2022, a vaping/e-cigarette use prevention PSA video contest for Minnesota middle and high school students. More than 250 students from across Minnesota entered the contest, now in its second year. The pool of entries was reviewed by 65 student judges, including 35 Minnesota Youth Council representatives.

Cast Your Votes for the Winning Videos

Online public voting is now open to choose the winning videos. Voting will take place from Wednesday, March 23 through Wednesday, April 6, on the Escape the Vape Video Contest website. Winners will be announced Thursday, April 7.

About the Escape the Vape Video Contest

The Escape the Vape Video Contest is a collaboration between a broad group of Minnesota organizations working to reduce youth e-cigarette use. The contest objective is to engage youth to use their voices and inform their peers about the dangers of vaping.

This contest is made possible by Minnesota Department of Health, in partnership with Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota, Tobacco-Free Alliance, CCF Advertising, Medtronic, the Minnesota Youth Council, and Allina Health’s Change to Chill.

My Life, My Quit™ for Teens

My Life, My Quit is a new program to help Minnesota teens ages 13-17 quit commercial tobacco and nicotine, including vaping. The program is free and confidential.

Teens can text to chat with a coach, engage in coaching calls and online chat, and receive youth-specific materials.
