Your Patients May Qualify for Gift Cards for Trying to Quit with Coaching from Quit Partner

The Minnesota Department of Health's Quit Partner programs are now offering gift cards to qualifying enrollees who complete coaching calls.

The gift cards are available to underinsured and uninsured adults who either are pregnant or use menthol cigarettes. Gift cards are mailed when participants complete coaching calls with Quit Partner. The number of gift cards and amounts vary by program; those interested should call 1-800-QUIT-NOW for more information.

All Minnesota residents who are eligible to participate will be offered the opportunity when they speak with an intake specialist at 1-800-QUIT-NOW. If someone enrolls through the Quit Partner website, they need to select the phone option. Quit Partner will then call the individual and provide information about the gift cards during intake.

Please share this information with your patients. This opportunity is highlighted on the Quit Partner Truth About Menthols and Pregnancy Program webpages.

New Quitline Portal for LGBTQ+ People

The National LGBT Cancer Network launched Outlast Tobacco, an LGBTQ+ cessation quitline portal designed to provide community-specific motivation and encouragement to LGBTQ+ people who use commercial tobacco products. If you direct patients to this portal and they reach out for support, they will get connected with Quit Partner.
