We now have additional training dates available for a FREE virtual workshop to help health care professionals assist pregnant people with quitting smoking:

  • Wednesday, February 9th, 12:00 – 3:30 pm CST. This training requires pre-registration by January 30.
  • Thursday, April 14th, 12-3:30 CST. This training requires pre-registration by April 3.

Each training will be offered to up to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. The two trainings are the same, so select the date that works better for you.

The Minnesota Department of Health and American Lung Association - Minnesota have contracted with the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) to conduct these workshops.

SOPHE’s SCRIPT® – Smoking Cessation and Reduction in Pregnancy Treatment – Program is an award-winning, evidence-based program shown to be effective in helping thousands of pregnant people quit smoking. SOPHE’s evidence-based SCRIPT® Counselor Training will enable you to integrate the SCRIPT® program into your routine prenatal care screening process.
