SHIP Community Leadership Teams
are invited to participate in a research study conducted by the University of
Minnesota's Shared Leadership Lab and Center for Integrative Leadership.
This
study is focused on participants’ and facilitators’ perspectives on their
engagement in a shared leadership initiative that crosses professional,
sectoral or other boundaries to address significant public challenges.

MnDOT announces competitive grant
Minnesota communities, schools and their partners are invited to apply for funding on local projects that enhance transportation goals such as improvements to biking and walking infrastructure, historic preservation and Safe Routes to School.
For the 2018-19 application cycle, MnDOT is conducting a joint solicitation with Transportation Alternatives and Safe Routes to School infrastructure projects. Applicants need to submit only one application to be considered for both programs.
Deadline for the initial letter of intent is Oct. 31.

Physical education trainings schedule released
The 2019 training schedule from the Minnesota Department of Education on physical education standards has been released. These trainings are designed for physical education teachers to have a shared understanding of physical education standards across the state. MDE recommends that physical educators attend the training in school district teams.
Attendance is free, but registration is required.
Invite for MN K-12 schools to apply
The Minnesota Department of Health is offering grants for up to $1,500 to support the implementation of a variety of school projects that improve asthma management to increase attendance and improve learning for kids with asthma.
For project ideas, consider working with health care professionals, organizing asthma data at your school or create partnerships for better communication between schools, hospitals and public health.
