MIPS 101

New E-Learning Course is Now Available

MIPS 101 provides an overview of one of the two tracks of the CMS Quality Payment Program (QPP) and will help ground you in the basics and prepare you to participate if the program is new to you.  By completing the course, you will be able to:

  1. Define MACRA, QPP, MIPS, and APMs
  2. Assess whether you are eligible to participate in the QPP
  3. Summarize the different MIPS categories
  4. Explain MIPS scoring and how to use the Stratis Health MIPS Estimator
  5. Explain how to submit MIPS data

This free online course was developed in partnership with Stratis Health. 

Advance registration on the HCH Learning Management System (LMS) is required.

The MIPS Experience: A HCH First Year Participant Story

Tuesday, June 12 from Noon – 12:45 pm

Participants in the CMS Quality Payment Program (QPP)/Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) program completed their first measurement year in 2017 and submitted data by the end of March 2018. In this webinar, led by Stratis Health, we’ll look back at some of the challenges and lessons learned from the first year and discuss considerations for 2018 with a clinic that is both a Minnesota certified Health Care Home and a participant in CMS’ MIPS program.

Learning Objectives

Participants in this webinar will acquire knowledge and skills for:

  • Anticipating challenges and hurdles during the first year of MIPS
  • Applying lessons learned in first year to second year participation in MIPS
  • Recalibrating strategy from the first year participation in MIPS to the second
  • Aligning Health Care Homes certification with successful participation in MIPS
