State and Federal Payment Information
Minnesota Department of Education sent this bulletin at 08/12/2011 02:43 PM CDTWe have heard from several business managers and others that the cash transfer information for both SERVS and IDEAS posted on the Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) website at https://www2.mainserver.state.mn.us/vendorpmts/login.html is not adequate for districts to receipt cash correctly. We’re extremely sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced.
Minnesota Management and Budget has made training tools for vendors, including school districts and charter schools, that will assist you in reaching the level of detail required to appropriately post cash payments at the following link:
http://supplier.swift.state.mn.us
The “Instructions for Training Guide” and the “Vendor Step-by-Step Training Guide” will assist you to access the district or charter school data that is necessary to find detail level of payments.
If you have difficultly following the instruction or cannot access the data, please contact MMB staff at 651-201-8000. If you have questions regarding state aid payments, please contact Judy Kuck at 651-582-1613 or judy.kuck@state.mn.us. If you have questions regarding federal payments through SERVS, please contact MaryPat Olson at 651-582-8624 or MaryPat.Olsen@state.mn.us.
A special message to charter school business staff
The July 30 IDEAS State Aids Payment Schedule included an amount in the final payment column for July 15 equal to gross aid for general education and special education for the period July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. This amount was not paid on July 15 and will be corrected on the August 15 report. Due to the short timeline allowed to implement 2011 legislative changes in charter school payment provisions after recall from layoff, this was an expedient shortcut to effect the required changes and make the payment on time.
