Student Assessment History Report Rollover

The Student Assessment History Report will roll over to the new school year on Aug. 14. After that date, no data will be available until districts submit their 2026-27 student enrollment data for the 2026-27 school year. Note: For WIDA ACCESS 2026 results, the data included in the report reflects the initial proficiency level results, which are used for English learner status reclassification and exit decisions. Refer to the Using WIDA Assessment Results During the 2026 Transition to New Proficiency Levels document on the Minnesota WIDA page (under the Manuals, Guides and Test Materials expandable heading) for more information.

An updated version of the Student Assessment History Report User Guide will be posted to the Assessment Secure Reports page of the MDE website.

Reading MCA-IV and Alt MCA Results Release

District and School Student Results (DSR and SSR) files containing final student-level and state summary assessment results for the 2026 Reading MCA-IV and Alternate MCA are scheduled to be available on Aug. 18. These results are embargoed, meaning districts and schools may begin reviewing and using results for planning purposes but cannot share or discuss them publicly. When results are reported publicly on Sept. 30, MDE will lift the embargo, final assessment results are then made available to the public on the Minnesota Report Card and the Data Reports and Analytics pages of the MDE website, and Individual Student Reports (ISRs) are provided to districts for distribution to families.

The following resources for district and school staff will be available on MDE and Pearson’s websites:

  • Updated user guides for DSR/SSR files and supplemental sample data will be posted on the Assessment Secure Reports page when reading results are released.
  • The Guidance for Reading MCA-IV and Alternate MCA Results Release can be found on the District Resources page (under the Test Score Interpretation Resources expandable heading). It offers guidance and resources to support understanding of the updated assessments and using these results to inform curriculum, instruction, and continuous improvement.
  • MCA and Alternate MCA Reading ISR Quick Guides provide a high-level overview of the new Reading MCA and Alt MCA ISRs that are provided to families. English versions are posted on the Individual Student Reports (ISR) Resources page of the Minnesota Assessment Hub. Translated versions of these resources will be available soon on the Translated Documents page of the MDE website.

Accountability Release Dates and Webinars

The dates for the accountability secure reports release have changed from those listed in the Important Dates for Results Release (2025-26) document on the Policies and Procedures page of the Minnesota Assessment Hub.

The secure Consistent Attendance roster with data from 2024-25 is now available. The secure Progress Toward English Language Proficiency roster with data from 2025-26 will be available on Monday, Aug. 17. The appeals window is open until Friday, Aug. 21 for both rosters. The acceptable grounds for appeals are calculation error and extenuating circumstances disrupting the usability of data. Send appeals to mde.essa@state.mn.us.

Webinars to review accountability calculations will be held in September, in the week following the secure release of the remaining accountability indicators. In the meantime, send any questions about the currently available secure rosters to mde.essa@state.mn.us.

Secure rosters can be accessed on the Secure Reports page of the MDE Data Center. Users must have an EDIAM account with access to Accountability Secure Reports to download these rosters. All data is embargoed until Sept. 30, 2026.
