SUN Bucks Eligibility Data Upload Portal (EDU-Portal) is Now Open!
The SUN Bucks EDU-Portal is now live and ready for schools to begin submitting eligible student information. Schools are strongly encouraged to upload all eligible students' data by Thursday, April 30, 2026, to ensure the information can be processed on time and that their benefits are available for use by the first disbursement on Thursday, May 14, 2026. The portal will remain open for eligible student data submissions until closure for the Summer 2026 period on Friday, September 4, 2026.

New training and resources are now available on the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) SUN Bucks webpage to help schools and districts learn about the SUN Bucks program to determine benefits eligibility and navigate the SUN Bucks EDU-Portal to upload student data.

2026 SUN Bucks Office Hours
We are offering office hours again! Office hours are dedicated time for schools to receive direct technical assistance, troubleshoot portal issues, and ask questions about the data submission process. During these sessions, MDE staff will be available to
- Walk through portal functionality and common tasks
- Help resolve login or data upload issues
- Provide guidance on data requirements and file formatting
- Answer program-related questions
- Review any challenges you are experiencing and offer real-time support
