Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2025 Memo
The Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2025, which was enacted on March 15, 2025, contains a number of provisions impacting Child Nutrition Programs (CNPs). The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) released a memo with guidance on:
- Crediting vegetables at breakfast;
- Prohibiting the use of chicken and seafood from China; and
- Paid lunch equity (PLE) requirements for school year 2025-26.

Minnesota Farm to School Institute
The Minnesota Farm to School Institute is a team-based, year-long professional learning opportunity for schools to develop skills and action plans for growing their Farm to School program. School teams participating in the 2025–2026 Institute are:
- St. Croix Preparatory Academy
- Phoenix Academy of Art and Science
- New Ulm Catholic School
- Cannon Falls Area Schools
- Rosemount – Apple Valley – Eagan ISD 196
