Making effective public comments is an important way to help shape health standards in our state. It’s important to share clear, well-thought-out ideas, using facts or examples from local or national health standards. Comments should be respectful, on topic, and offer helpful suggestions within the requirements of the law. Offering specific ideas that can be put into action can make a real difference and help create necessary health standards for all students in Minnesota.
The public is invited to provide feedback through the Draft 1 Health Standards Public Comment online survey as Minnesotans develop Health Academic Standards. This public review and comment period is from March 19–April 9, on the Draft 1 K–12 Academic Standards in Health. Learn more about the standards review process on the Health Standards webpage.
The Draft 1 Health Standards Public Comment online survey and the comments submitted to the Office of Administrative Hearings’ (OAH) ecomments system are both centered on the creation of Minnesota K–12 Academic Standards in Health. The results of both comment periods will be reviewed by the Health Standards Committee and will be used for preparing the second draft, which will be available in the spring.
