MARSS Submissions for Early Childhood Screening

About 65% of districts are submitting developmental screening or early childhood screening (MARSS PS) via Ed-Fi for 2024-25. We welcome all districts (type 01, 03, 07 who have screening programs) to submit the screening data via Ed-Fi, especially those who have not yet done so. Until a district has certified to submit MARSS data by Ed-Fi only, MARSS A/B file upload must still be completed in order to receive screening state aid.

More information is found on the Ed-Fi webpage under MARSS Student Accounting and the Ed-Fi Data Guide for School Year 2024-25.

Tips for Enrollments in MARSS WES and Ed-Fi

Tips for Early Child Special Education (ECSE), Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) and School Readiness Plus (SRP) in Ed-Fi:

Certain data elements must be included in order for grade levels EC, PA-PJ and RA-RJ to pull into MARSS WES as enrollments.

  • Each enrollment must be accompanied by a Student Early Education Program Association with matching dates and school numbers.
  • Each Student Early Education Program Association must designate which program type the student is enrolled in e.g. EE-ECSE, EE-VPK, EE-SRP.
  • The program types of EE-VPK and EE-SRP must include a Section A-J.

MCCC

Thank You for the 2023-24 MCCC Data Reports

Thank you to so many.
Thank you to the vendors for implementing and supporting the Minnesota Common Course Catalogue (MCCC) data collection. After years of hard work, we have made the change to Ed-Fi data reporting.
Thank you to every Minnesota educational organization for entering and reporting the MCCC data. We appreciate your preparation for reporting and your adaptability as we changed to the Ed-Fi system.
Switching to Ed-Fi reporting will improve MCCC data by streamlining how Minnesota education organizations send data and thereby reducing the time Minnesota education organization staff spend completing data reporting.

MCCC 2024-25 School Year Data

MCCC is no longer taking data for the 2023-24 school year. MCCC is receiving data for the 2024-25 school year. The 2024-25 data is due by October 1, 2025. Please plan accordingly now to have the data for 2024-25 completed. Note, if you are changing student information system (SIS) software then MCCC reporting is to be completed before you lose the access to the old SIS.

MCCC Announcements Delivery Change

MCCC announcements are going to be published in the Ed-Fi Newsletter. If you have not yet signed up, select this link for Ed-Fi Newsletter Sign-up. We will be moving away from the MCCC announcement only messages.
