Minnesota Educator Workforce Dashboard

The Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) is excited to announce additional updates to the Minnesota Educator Workforce Dashboard.

Updates to the data dashboard include:

  • Licenses and Permissions
    • Number of licenses at tier level by school year
    • Number of permissions by school year
  • Licensure Fields
    • Number of licenses and unduplicated headcount by licensure fields active on June 30, 2024
  •  Demographics
    •  Racial information at tier level for licensed educators as of June 30, 2024
    •  Age information at tier level for licensed educators as of June 30, 2024
  • Teacher Retention
    • Teacher Years of Experience as of June 30, 2024
    • Includes table that shows numbers of individuals at tier level

Register for Free Three-Part Beyond Funding: Sustainability in Full-Service Community Schools Webinar Series

We’ve designed a webinar series with our partners, the National Center for Community Schools, to help Minnesota school communities explore key components of Sustainability in Full-Service Community Schools. The series will cover supportive infrastructure, building strong partnerships, cultivating a shared vision, and unique ways to utilize district and state funding to support your local full-service community school strategy. Learn about the Finance Project’s eight-element sustainability planning framework. Hear from practitioners taking innovative approaches to sustaining their initiatives. Discuss and share sustainability strategies with colleagues across Minnesota.

Register for session two “Sustainability Considerations for Full-Service Community Schools” on Tuesday, January 14, 9-10:30 a.m.  

Focus Audience: School-level practitioners, for example, full-service community school coordinators, school social workers, school counselors, family and community liaisons, out-of-school time coordinators, early childhood family educators

Stream session one “Getting Started with Sustainability in Full-Service Community School” Recorded, November 5, 2024 

Focus Audience: Anyone building or sustaining full-service community school efforts is encouraged, including full-service community school site and district coordinators, school and district administrators, family and community liaisons, Multi-Tiered System of Supports and equity specialists, etc.

Reminder: February 11 Webinar for Students, Families to Learn About Opportunities to Earn College Credit in High School

High school students and their families are invited to join our Career and College Readiness team virtually at 7 p.m. February 11 to learn about the different ways high school students can earn college credit while in high school. The team will discuss Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses and explain the differences between Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) and College in the High School. They will provide information about some benefits of the different programs and courses, eligibility requirements, and how to access these options. Hmong, Spanish and Somali interpretation will be available. Share this registration link with high school students and their families who may be interested in learning more about opportunities to Earn College Credit in High School.

Reminder: Ready Set FAFSA! Series Offered Tuesdays in January

Ready Set FAFSA! is a series of free financial aid events available to Minnesota students and families via Zoom. The series, running on Tuesday evenings in January, is intended for current high school students and will cover general information about the college application and financial aid process; details on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Minnesota Dream Act for undocumented students; and other ways to pay for college. All sessions will have interpretation in Spanish, Somali and Hmong. Attendees can ask questions in the chat and have them answered during the event by financial aid experts. Students who attend any of the sessions will be entered into a drawing to win a $1,000 scholarship (one entry per session attended).

These sessions are offered by the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, Minnesota Department of Education, ECMC The College Place and Minnesota Goes to College.
