Updated Renewal of Contracts for Vended Meals

The Renewal of Contracts for Vended Meals for all applicable Child Nutrition (CN) Programs have been updated to include the current Consumer Price Index (CPI). Meal price increases for 2023 renewal contracts may not exceed 8.8% of the agreed upon 2022 meal price.

Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)

Reminder: Field Trip Notification for At-Risk Afterschool Care Program Sites

If you are an At-Risk Afterschool Care Program site taking participants off-site for a field trip:

  • An At-Risk meal or snack taken on a field trip may be claimed for reimbursement if notice is provided to the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) by 8 a.m. the morning of the field trip.
  • Complete the CACFP At-Risk Field Trip Notification survey, which is located on the At-Risk Afterschool Meals webpage under related offsite resources, to report field trips to MDE.

Second Harvest Heartland SFSP Grant

Second Harvest Heartland is offering grants to support 2023 Summer Food Service Programs. Eligible applicants are SFSP and Seamless Summer Option (SSO) school and non-school sponsors who have applied and/or are approved by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) for Summer 2023. Apply now through Friday, April 12, 2023.
