Early Childhood Screening (ECS)

Early Childhood Screening and Ed-Fi

We would like to clarify for Early Childhood Screening MARSS Preschool (PS) data that districts and charters have through the EOY submission in 2023-24 to report their MARSS data via Ed-Fi only. During this time, they may also be uploading A/B files. The goal is to have all districts and charters report MARSS data via Ed-Fi only beginning the 2024-25 fall submission. Until districts/charters have certified to report their MARSS data via Ed-Fi only, their MARSS A/B file is used for funding.

MCCC

Call for Synergy and PowerSchool Users to Join the MCCC Pilot for the 2022-23 SY

The pilot will consist of dual submission using the legacy system and Ed-Fi to report the data. The legacy system will still be used for all MCCC reporting for the 2022-23 school year. The pilot is to improve the process and skills needed for each student information system. We have only one district each for PowerSchool and Synergy and we could use more.

The pilot will consist of four meetings through the 2022-23 school year. Each meeting is scheduled for an hour.

  • Meeting #1: The vendor will walk through software set up needed to report the MCCC data, sync MCCC data and check for sync errors.
  • Meeting #2: Review and answer questions from the first meeting and walk through data validation steps using dynamic reports.
  • Meetings #3 and #4: Review of the first two meetings and answer any questions.

If you have questions or would like to participate, please contact Karen Millette (651-582-8632).
